Melanie & Sean say “I Do!”

Spring Lake, MI, Wedding –

After living in China and traveling all over Asia, Melanie and Sean brought a taste of the Orient to Spring Lake, MI.  From silk scarves, colorful chop sticks, lanterns, to the beautiful detail on the cake – this Asian inspired theme was beautiful!  The venue for the ceremony and reception were at the Spring Lake Country Club and the ceremony under the giant weeping willow couldn’t have been more perfect.  Best of luck to these two with their newest adventure ahead of them living in California….the world truly is their oyster!  Here’s some highlights from the wedding.  Special thanks to Jennifer Buehrer for being such an awesome second shooter!!

Kallie and Wes say “I do!” – Addison Oaks Wedding

Addison Oaks, Romeo, MI –

What a venue and what a wonderful couple! The wedding was such a joy to photograph; Kallie looked stunning in her dress and had a smile to light up the room the entire day, and Wes was so sweet and always made everyone feel so welcomed.  These two kind hearts are so perfect for each other it’s only fitting that she’s a nurse and he’s a doctor, talk about a dream team.  I loved Kallie’s color scheme with all the blues, her hair style, the dress, the centerpieces, the bouquets….I could go on and on but you can see for yourself how fantastic the wedding was.  Here are some highlights from the wedding day.

Special thanks to Melissa Elaine for the wonderful job as second photographer! To see Wes and Kallie’s engagement session click here.

Didi & Eric, she said “Yes!”

A Detroit, MI, Engagement Session-

Didi and Eric came in from out of state and wanted to hit the town in Detroit for their engagement session.  I couldn’t be more excited to photograph their upcoming wedding at the Masonic Temple and am super excited to see all the Nigerian traditions that will be taking place.  Didi and Eric wore one of their custom designed Nigerian outfits for their engagement session and if that’s a sign of what’s to come for the wedding, it’s going to be fantastic!  These two are so easy to photograph, they have such a natural way of being together and it’s sexy, romantic, and sweet all rolled into one.  Here’s some highlights from their session, I think my favorite image is the last one.  Eric had a great idea to go to the top of parking garage for an aerial view of Detroit, not sure why I never thought of that before but I think I need to start touring more rooftops in Detroit!

Jamie & Ryan say “I do!”

MSU Garden Wedding, Old Town Marquee, Lansing –

Jamie and Ryan had their ceremony at the MSU Horticultural Gardens and the reception at the Old Town Marquee in Old Town Lansing.  These crazy two love birds bring a smile to my face whenever I think about them.  They are so perfect for each other,  I swear these two would have fun together if you put them in an alley with just a stick, and their bridal party was no exception.  These two are surrounded by joy, laughter, and the best sense of humor.  Instead of clinking glasses to get these two to kiss you had to challenge them to a dual of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard , and Spock…..who wouldn’t love that!?!

I’m super happy they chose to do my vintage photo booth; the Old Town Marquee actually has an entire room dedicated for photo booth set ups.  It was so fun having multiple places to shoot and they provide the BEST back drops!  Thank you to Melissa Elaine for being such an awesome second shooter!
