Kallie & Wes, She Said “Yes!”

What a terrific day for Kallie and Wes’s engagement session.  The number of options for great places to shoot during the month of April can be a little bit limited, so when Kallie said “how about the zoo?” I jumped at it!  We didn’t have a ton of time but it didn’t matter, the light was perfect,  flowers were coming in, and it’s impossible to take a bad photo of either one of these two.  We managed to see a camel, squirrel and some Canadian geese, so I think my husband and I are going to be taking a trip back there soon to see the rest of the animals.  There are so many wonderful little nooks and crannies to use for taking pictures; I was in Heaven!  Here’s some highlights from their session, and I can’t wait to see all the wonderful details they have planned for their wedding in June at Addison Oaks!

Brian and Jodi say “I do!”

What a great way to start the 2014 wedding season; a beautiful bride, handsome groom, a dress to die for, one of the most fun houses to take “getting ready” shots, dogs, and the world’s cutest flower girls and ring bearer.  Jodi’s mom is one of the most talented seamstresses I’ve ever met.  She made Jodi’s dress, the flower girls’ dresses, and the bridesmaids’ dresses, all of which were stunning, and the talent in the family doesn’t stop there, Jodi made her own veil which was fabulous!  What a fun couple to photograph and I’m so jealous of their honeymoon destination – Iceland!

Special thanks to Chelsea Brown for doing such a fantastic job second shooting.  To see Jodi and Brian’s engagement session click here.

Stephanie & Kevin, she said “Yes!”

Junk yard engagement session, MI –

You know it’s going to be a fun couple when they are game for doing their engagement session at a junkyard in the middle of winter.  Kevin and Stephanie were so much fun to photograph.  It’s definitely a bonding experience when you tromp through 3 feet of snow together!  We also hit downtown Howell for some extra shots, which is always a favorite of mine.  Here are some highlights from their session…..enjoy!
