Jamie & Ryan, A Camping Engagement Session

What can I say about Jamie & Ryan?  I can say that “I love them and they make me smile!”  When I first met with them they told me that they weren’t keen on an engagement session because they aren’t the type of couple that are into mushy romantic pictures….well maybe not those exact words, but close.  They may not be mushy and romantic but they are fun, silly, and totally in love!  These two are going to laugh their way through life together.  They are both avid campers so we came up with the idea to do a “camping” engagement session where they can just be themselves without posing for the camera, even though I have to say they did come up with some creative poses on their own!  Setting up a tent with 20 mph winds was just an added bonus to the fun!

Kristen & Bradley say “I Do!”

Crystal Gardens, Howell, MI, Wedding –

Dress from Something Blue Bridal Boutique

Flowers and centerpieces from Carriage House Designs

Event Planner – Simply Brilliant Events

Lighting – The Lighting Guy

Cake- Crystal Gardens

Not even a monsoon could stop Kristen and Bradley’s wedding from being perfect.  Everything about their wedding was beautiful; from her dress, her veil, her hair and makeup to Bradley’s reaction when he saw her coming down the aisle.  I am so thankful that we had those 20 minutes of outdoor bridal party photos before the storm came.  Even with the storm it didn’t put a damper on anything.  When we arrived at Crystal Gardens apparently all the other bridal parties had the same idea to go there for their pictures to get out of the rain, but instead of it being crazy it was really fun.  All the people there at one time added to the excitement of the day and if we hadn’t gone early, Kristen and Bradley never would have seen their reception room decorated before the guests arrived.  I photograph at Crystal Gardens frequently but nothing prepared me for when I opened those doors.  It was so beautiful it took my breath away.  Kristen’s mom did such a fantastic job along with the Carriage House Designs, and the Lighting Guy at transforming the room into a show stopper!

Here are some highlights from their day and feel free to check out their winter engagement session here.

Justin & Nicole said “I Do!”

Inn at St John’s Wedding, Plymouth MI wedding photographer-

Nicole and Justin had their reception at the fabulous Inn at St John’s in Plymouth, MI.  Their wedding colors were gold and black which matched the elegant theme and venue.  We had a few sprinkles in the am but the weather cleared up and turned out to be one  of the prettiest days of the year.  I think my favorite part of their wedding is that we got to take some photographs in their suite at the hotel….what a view, and what a room!!  Here are some highlights from their wedding day.   To see more of my work please visit my website at www.leahmossphotography.com .

Alice & Craig said “I Do!”

Pine Knob Carriage House Wedding, Clarkston, MI-

Alice and Craig chose to have their ceremony and reception at the Pine Knob Carriage House and oh what a venue!  The Pine Knob Mansion was just down the road where they had their “first look” and bridal party pictures and it’s gorgeous in every direction, around every turn, and down every step.  They also had one of the greatest cover bands I’ve ever heard at a wedding, talk about keeping a dance floor full!  They could go from Eminem to Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga without skipping a beat.  I’m so happy they chose me to share in their special day.  Here are some highlights from their wedding day.
