Kirk in the Hills Wedding, Bloomfield Hills MI

Kristin & Josh say “I do!”

Josh and Kristin’s wedding was filled with so much love and joy it was the icing on the cake to be able to photograph the ceremony at Kirk in the Hills.  The fact that it was a rainy, windy day didn’t even make an ounce of difference because these two have a natural glow that follows them around, and talk about a bridal party!  Everyone was so sweet and nice and I can see why Kirstin and Josh chose this group to be their friends, everything just had such a wonderful vibe from start to finish and seriously one of the best dance floors I’ve ever seen.  Joe Nagraba from Ultimate Entertainment never lets me down – crazy dance floor until the end!

Special thank you to Julie Laakso from JCL Portraits; you are so easy to work with and do such an outstanding job every time we work together.

Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Lodge at Nordman Lake Wedding, Dexter, MI

Tiffany & Matt say “I do!”

First off I have to say that Tiffany and Matt had the cutest ring bearer on the PLANET!!!  I may have been slightly obsessed with taking pictures of him; you’ll see his fury face pop up quite often throughout the blog post. One of my favorite moments of the day is when Kronos, the ring bearer, leapt off the dock and landed in the row boat to get to Tiffany and Matt….thankfully it ended well and everyone stayed dry, because that could have turned out way differently.   As a wedding photographer we all have venues that we love photographing and the Lodge at Nordman Lake is at the top of my list.  The property is gorgeous in every direction, it has the most wonderful relaxed vibe, it’s off the beaten path, I could go on and on but I guess I’m trying to say it was the perfect venue for Matt and Tiffany’s wedding.  I had so many favorites from their wedding it was hard to choose what to put in the blog post, I could write an entire blog post about their food alone – lobster ravioli….seriously..yum!!!  If you are looking for a fantastic caterer, check out From the Hearth Food out of Ann Arbor, MI.

Britt Hueter , from BAMphoto was my partner in crime for Matt and Tiffany’s wedding and it couldn’t have been a better fit, she’s an inspiration to be around, and so much fun to partner with on a wedding!

Howell, MI, Wedding – Crystal Gardens

Chad & Samantha say “I do!”

Chad and Samantha had their ceremony and reception at Crystal Gardens, but not until after an epic first look with Samantha’s dad and then with Chad. We all went on a fun tour of Howell to capture their family and bridal party portraits.  I love when couples do first looks because it allows for extra time for portraits and gives a little safety net in case it rains.  We had about 10 minutes of it sprinkling outside which was just enough to get some super cute umbrella shots!  Another fantastic bridal party and a wonderful and gorgeous couple!!  These two jetsetters are starting off their marriage with a move to Sweden; I’m so excited for them and all the adventures they have in their future.  Congratulations you two and best wishes!!!

Special thanks to Nick Wisda of Nick Wisda photography, you are always wonderful to work with and I can’t wait to second shoot for you soon!

Nadia & Will say “I do!”

I am so happy that Nadia and Will found me and hired me to photograph their wedding.  I fell in love with them as a couple during the engagement session.  Nadia is sooooooo pretty and sweet and Will had me at “I love sci-fi” !  Why is Nadia the perfect fit for Will?  When her wedding cake arrived, she handed a millennium falcon to the baker and said “could you insert this into the side of the cake please”……that is one girl that loves her man!!!  I love that Nadia wears her heart on her sleeve and that everyone in her family was the same; there were happy tears, emotional tears, tears from gift exchanges, and lots of tears of joy.  Will seems so shy when you first meet him, but that boy can bust a move on the dance floor!  Here are some of my favorite images of the wedding day.

Special thanks to Derek Cookson from Derek Cookson photography for being such a fun partner for the day and doing such a fantastic job!
