Bethany & Steve are Married! Crystal Gardens, Howell MI

So much thought and time went into all the details of Bethany and Steve’s wedding – from the handmade programs, the personalized tie pins, the handmade cake topper – with a special shout out to Steve, rumor has it he made the cat – how awesome is that!?!  What would a fall wedding be without a fall themed dessert bar – Carmel apples, apple pie, doughnuts and cider.  There were so many things I loved about this wedding; the guy’s zoot suits, the fall color scheme with a purple punch added, a reading from a Dr Seuss book, the bouquet/garter toss,  but most of all I love how they made it their own …..special and unique!  Here’s some of my favorite photos from the evening.

Erich and Heather are married!!! Rattlesnake Club, Detroit MI

What a beautiful wedding, what a fun bridal party, and what an awesome reception!  I am so happy for Erich and Heather and I’m so thankful that I have had the chance to get to know and love their entire family.  One of my favorite parts of their wedding was the story that their priest told during the wedding ceremony of how they were brought back together.  Erich and Heather dated in high school but went their separate ways during the “college years” but were brought back together by a simple 🙁 on Facebook.  That was all Heather typed on Facebook  🙁  and Erich commented and the rest is history…….bring on the priest, wedding cake, and photographer!!! They are a dream couple and are going to laugh their way through life together.  I had so much fun shooting the bridal party shots because they were game for anything and anything went – so I’m going to show some highlights but lean towards my favorite part of the pictures….the bridal party!!!!

Brian & Shelli are married! St Hugo of the Hills, Bloomfield Hills, MI

I don’t even know where to begin my blog on this one – the bell tower that Shelli helped design, or St. Hugo of the Hills, or how awesome they are as a couple and how in love they are.  I feel overwhelmed because no matter what I write won’t do it justice.  I will start with the bell tower – Shelli is a crazy talented architect that has done work studies abroad in Italy to help renovate buildings but the jaw dropping topic is that she helped design the bell tower at St Hugo’s, the tower is incredible!  I joked on a Facebook post that some brides design their own centerpieces, invitations, or dress……this tower will be pretty difficult to top!  Besides being brilliant, Shelli is the kindest most generous sweet soul I think I’ll ever meet, and not to forget Brian….Brian is uber cool – any guy that likes to photoshop AND sci-fi wins me over instantly.  Not a lot of people know that about me but I’m a total sci-fi nut!

This was my first wedding at St Hugo of the Hills – what a place to get married!!  In every direction it’s beautiful and serene and to top it off we had beautiful September weather…..a perfect wedding day for a perfect couple.

Matthew & Katie are engaged!!!

The first thing  you notice when you meet Matthew & Katie is how ridiculously good looking they are, almost so beautiful you don’t want to look directly at them.  What’s worse is once you get to know them you also find out how ridiculously nice and fun they are to be around.  I could have just followed them around for a couple hours taking pictures of them without giving them any direction at all – they just have fun together, and naturally snuggle together, and have fun together…did I mention how much fun they have?  I can’t even begin to imagine the shenanigans that will take place the day of the wedding – I’m just happy that I’m the one that gets to document it!

I had to look up “shenanigans”to make sure I spelled it correctly and here’s what I got – and it’s definition number 2 that I’m counting on 🙂

shenanigans plural of she·nan·i·gans (Noun)

  1. Secret or dishonest activity or maneuvering.
  2. Silly or high-spirited behavior; mischief
