Jillian and Jonathan, she said “yes!”

Old Town Lansing Engagement Session, Lansing MI Wedding photographer –

Jillian and Jonathan’s engagement session was so much fun!  These two are so easy to photograph and have such a natural way about them in front of the camera, but besides that they are just really fun to be around.  They share my passion for travel and for being so young it’s amazing how much of the world they’ve already seen.  Even their engagement took place in front of the famous Eye Ferris Wheel in London.  From the stories they shared with me that seems “the norm” in this family – Jonathan’s grandfather proposed to his grandmother in Venice….generations of romantic men!!! I love it!!!  Here are some highlights from their engagement session, can’t wait until their wedding next August!

Adam & Allison say “I Do!”

Inner Circle Estates, Deckerville, MI – Castle Wedding-

Allison and Adam’s wedding was straight out of a storybook.  When girls dream about their wedding we often envision having them at a castle, how lucky them that they really did!  The Inner Circle Estates is such a fairytale location and a Allison looked like a princess on her wedding day.  I loved everything about their wedding but I have to mention that their cheesecake wedding cake was the best cheesecake on the PLANET!!

Special thank you to the fantastic Rachel Shomsky for second shooting this one!

Mike & Allia, she said “Yes!”

Chelsea, MI, Engagement Session – Tantré Farm

There are times when sitting behind a desk for hours editing when my job feels like “work”.  Then there are times when I can’t believe I have such an amazing job.  Mike and Allia’s engagement session was one of the times that my job sometimes seems too good to be true, these two are so fun that my stomach hurt from laughing by the end of the session.  I have so much I want to say about them and the Tantré Farm I feel like I could write a book.  I wish I could remember all the details of how these two love birds met but the story began when they were just 11 years old and Mike loved Allia and there’s just too many twists and turns to keep it all straight.  Let’s just say it makes “When Harry Met Sally” look like a walk in the park.  The important thing is that their paths crossed again and at the right time and all the planets aligned and these two amazing people are together!

Allia had worked at Tantré Farm in Chelsea for a summer and that’s where the idea started to do their engagement session there.  This farm is the most amazing farm I’ve ever seen.  It’s all organic, there are fields of flowers, giant herb gardens, fruit trees everywhere, and luckily for us we hit at the right time for the raspberries.  The session was the perfect combination of casual at the farm and dressy in downtown Chelsea.  In just a few weeks I get to photograph their wedding at one of my favorite venues on the planet, the Lodge at Nordman Lake…..can’t wait!  I’m so excited!!!

Kate & Adam say “I do!”

Colony Club Wedding – Detroit, MI, Wedding Photographer-

Kate and Adam had their ceremony at the beautiful Church of the Annunciation and their reception at the Colony Club.  What a nice surprise when the priest said I  was allowed to come up on the alter for photographs during the ceremony; it was like being a kid in a candy store.  One of my favorite ceremonies ever!  We buzzed around Detroit to the D.I.A., and a graffiti wall to capture their bridal party images.  We found out that flying veil shots are not as easy as they look, but Kate rocked it and they turned out fantastic!!!!  Here are some highlights from their wedding day!  Thank you to the amazing Stevie B for doing such a wonderful job second shooting!
